I’ve been asked to be the “Poetic Opener” at Victoria’s Planet Earth Poetry weekly readings. Tonight’s the night! I’m opening for wonderful local poet Susan Braley, whose most recent book of poems is “Tilling the Darkness”.
Planet Earth Poetry meets every Friday night at Russell Books. The first half of the night is an open mic, followed by a break, and then the poetic opener and the featured poet. The second part of the night is streamed on Zoom, and starts between 8 to 8:15 pm depending on the length of the first half.
For the Zoom link to join the poetry readings, and to learn more about the poets who are featured, check out the website: http://planetearthpoetry.com/. (Sorry, this isn’t hyperlinked. You’ll have to copy and paste it into your browser.)

Thanks James! It was good to see you there! And I thought I heard a whistle… added to the ambience!
I really enjoyed your poetry reading Sarah – your poems were amazing! I especially liked the last two you read. The one about the salmon run on the Adams River was powerful. And I was quite moved by the last one you read, “If I forget to tell you.”
Thanks Rob!
